Calgary Aikikai In-House Seminar

Calgary Aikikai is hosting an in-house seminar from 11am – 3pm, Saturday, October 16th at The Riverpark Church in the Fellowship Hall (downstairs). There will be short breaks for food, bathroom, etc. but no extended lunch break so please bring your own snacks, lunch, etc. The normal drop-in fee applies. Seven of the world’s foremost instructors in Aikido, including three of O-Sensei’s remaining uchi deshi, will teach classes. This three day weekend seminar is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Policy Update

Sunday classes and the intermediate/advanced training session (from 8:30pm to 9:15pm) are now for registered students only. However, if you had once registered previously and had to change to a drop-in basis because of some commitment or a vacation, you are exempt but should re-register when you can. That means that for these people who were once registered, you may still come to the intermediate/advanced sessions and Sundays (with your drop-in card).

New students and students who have never registered should register for the privilege of the extra training day. The benefits of registering include free SAIT parking, an extra training day on Sundays, and an extra 40 minutes of practice (typically) each class (on top of the use of the gym, pool, hot tub and sauna).

SAIT P1 Closure Dates

SAIT’s P1 parking area will be closed on Thursday, July 8th until Monday at 6 am. This means that for the Friday class and Sunday class of that weekend you cannot park in P1. Please park in the adjacent parking lot just up the hill. If you are a registered Aikido student (not a drop-in student), then parking is always free on training days.
